Step-by-Step Tutorial

Here’s how to set up your own automation:

1. Set Up Your Discord Bot

First, create a bot in Discord’s Developer Portal and invite it to your server with the necessary permissions to send messages.

Follow the provided tutorial1 to create a Discord server, use the Discord webhook URL for the notify_me_mcp server, and add the URL accordingly.

2. Finding the Right MCP Server

Call the @Weather MCP Server tool to fetch current weather data for the user’s specified location.
Analyze the data and create a structured report with these sections using Markdown for bold titles:
Weather Summary – One-sentence overview of the day's conditions.
Outfit & Commute
• Suggest appropriate clothing based on temperature.
• If rain chance >40%, advise carrying an umbrella and recommend car/cab over bike.
Outdoor Activities – Recommend whether outdoor activities are suitable.
Laundry Alert – Provide a clear “Yes” or “No” on leaving laundry outside based on rain chance.
Alerts & Warnings – If rain chance >75% or wind speed is high, issue a Heavy Weather Warning.
Call the @notify_me_mcp tool to send the complete, formatted report as one message.
Always ensure the report is concise, accurate, and actionable.

Your setup should look like this (ensure you use the correct MCP Servers with the “@” sign):
